The 10th anniversary edition of the Polish Gas Industry Congress, organised by the Chamber of Commerce for the Gas Industry, is taking place on 20–21 April – the most important event in the gas sector in Poland. This year’s edition is not only a review of achievements to date and the direction of development in the energy sector with regard to securing energy supplies, but above all a strategic discussion on the industry’s future direction in the face of dynamic market and geopolitical changes. The National Centre for Nuclear Research will be among the experts speaking at the Congress.

Young physicists presented their projects at NCBJ. 21st “Physical Paths” Competition concluded
The final of the 21st edition of the nationwide “Physical Paths” competition took place on 17 April at the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ). Students from across Poland, along with their teachers and representatives of the scientific community and public administration, gathered in Otwock. The winners have now been announced.
4NEW project inauguration
The launch of a collaboration between universities, research institutions, public administration, and industry marks an important step in Poland’s preparations for the development of nuclear energy. The launch of this project, which aims to train specialists and build a talent pool, will help ensure a sufficient workforce for one of the economy’s key sectors.
EnergyON Summit in Poznań
The energy transition and the decarbonization of industry are gaining momentum. The EnergyON Summit in Poznań, one of the key business events in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together market leaders, experts, and decision-makers, is the answer to these challenges. The National Centre for Nuclear Research was a partner of the panel discussion “Building a Nuclear Power Plant in Practice.”
Ceremonial Scientific Council
On March 10, 2026, the National Centre for Nuclear Research held a ceremonial Scientific Council meeting, during which awards were presented for scientific and research achievements as well as organizational and technical accomplishments in 2025. During the ceremony, diplomas conferring the academic degrees of Doctor and Habilitated Doctor were also awarded.
U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration Visits NCBJ
On January 20, 2026, the National Centre for Nuclear Research was visited by a delegation from the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), led by the newly appointed Deputy Administrator of the Office of Nuclear Nonproliferation, Dr. Matthew C. Napoli.
