What do we specialise in?


The tasks of the Reactor Research Division include:

  • performing calculations and non-routine neutron, thermal-flux, reactivity, etc. measurements related to the operation of the MARIA reactor and for research and development work related to the use of the MARIA reactor or nuclear methods,
  • developing, together with other DEJ units, new technologies related to the operation of the MARIA reactor and related to spent fuel management,
  • cooperation with other DEJ and NCBJ units in the development of safety analyses of MARIA reactor facilities and installations,
  • carrying out research and development work related to the use of the MARIA reactor and related to the use of various nuclear methods,
  • development and operation of experimental reactor facilities,

 

  • carrying out research and development work related to the use of neutron activation analysis,
  • carrying out chemical analyses and measurements related to the operation of the MARIA reactor and for research purposes,
  • development of dosimetry methods,
  • cooperation with domestic and foreign research and commercial entities for the use of the MARIA reactor,
  • cooperation with other organisational units of NCBJ in the field of training of MARIA reactor operating personnel, supervision of conducting classes with university students within the competence of the Division.
