Streszczenie: The study of transient phenomena in Astronomy is undergoing a true revolution. It started a few decades ago with the serendipitous discovery of GRBs and the flurry to detect their afterglows at the end of the last century. Then, more recently,  the development of several innovative surveys and global follow up efforts, have converged with the birth of gravitational wave astronomy after the first detection in 2015. Soon the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) at the NSF’s Vera Rubin Observatory will be another true milestone project in astrophysics. It will survey the entire southern sky every 3-4 days in several  filters, with a high spatial resolution, and capable of observing limiting magnitudes fainter than previously possible from ground based observatories. In this talk I will speculate about some of the interesting astrophysics knowledge that could be obtained from these observations and describe the status of the TOROS project, an attempt to participate in these discoveries.
