“HR Excellence in Research” Award for National Centre for Nuclear Research

We are pleased to announce that on September 3, 2019, the National Center for Nuclear Research joined the elite group of research units that can boast the prestigious distinction "HR Excellence in Research".

The European Commission awards a distinction to institutions that contribute to increasing the attractiveness of working conditions for researchers in the European Union - they provide employees with a transparent recruitment process, stability of employment and career development opportunities. NCBJ is also on the list of recognized HRS4R (HR Strategy for Researchers) institutions that have been granted the right to use a special logo that can use it to emphasize their commitment to implementing clear and transparent procedures for the recruitment of researchers.

The European Commission supports the institutions implementing the provisions of the European Charter and Code by organizing meetings and discussion panels for the institutions involved. In addition, it promotes such institutions among international organizations and researchers as entities providing the best conditions for work and development.

An important task for the next few years is improving the recruitment procedures, which will facilitate the employment of suitable candidates for research related positions. Therefore, actions, that shall improve the current NCBJ’s procedures regarding recruitment on research related positions, have been planned, in accordance with the action plan for the next years (until 2021).

The HR Excellence in Research distinction is not awarded forever. Institutions with this title are systematically evaluated in terms of maintaining the standards adopted by the European Commission.
