Theoretical and experimental physicists represent NCBJ at an international conference on high-energy physics
08-05-2026
In the first week of May, the DIS2026 international conference is taking place in Italy. The event is dedicated to the latest advances in the field of high-energy physics. Among the 350 conference participants is a large group of theorists and experimentalist from the NCBJ’s Department of Fundamental Research.
DIS2026 (The 33rd International Workshop on Deep Inelastic Scattering and Related Subjects) is the world’s leading event bringing together specialists in the field of quantum chromodynamics. The meeting, taking place from 4 to 8 May in Bologna, provides an opportunity for scientists from around the world to review the latest developments in high-energy physics. This year’s edition focuses in particular on the latest results from major experiments at BNL, CERN, DESY, FNAL, JLab and KEK.
Among the nearly 350 participants from around the world, one of the most numerous groups consists of researchers from the Theoretical Physics Division and the High-Energy Physics Division at NCBJ. Such a large presence of experts from our Institute is a testament to the extremely high quality of scientific research conducted by NCBJ experts. The participation of such a large group is made possible by the research grants obtained by NCBJ scientists, particularly those funded by the National Science Centre (NCN).
