The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens the competition for the position of
Postoc
at the High Energy Physics Division

Localization: Pasteura 7, 02-093 Warsaw
Position funded under the NCN SONATA-BIS project, "Investigation of Hadron Structure Using Semileptonic Baryon Decays" (https://ncn.gov.pl/sites/default/files/listy-rankingowe/2025-06-16-TutuRoKi3z/streszczenia/655369-pl.pdf). The project manager is dr Varvara Batozskaya.
Description of tasks
The successful candidate will take a leading role in data analysis, development of analysis frameworks, and implementation of advanced methods for spin-dependent studies. The position also offers opportunities for research visits to leading laboratories (such as BESIII, FAIR, CERN), as well as participation in international conferences and workshops.
Requirements for the candidate:
- PhD degree in particle physics (or a closely related field)
- strong experience in data analysis in experimental particle physics
- solid programming skills (e.g. c++, python, or similar)
- a good understanding of particle physics and statistical methods
- excellent written and spoken English skills
- be able to work both independently and within an international collaboration
