It is with profound sadness that we bid farewell to Prof. Zbigniew Guzik, DSc

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of
Prof. Zbigniew Guzik, DSc, who died on September 21, 2026, at the age of 82.

His passing is a painful loss to his family, loved ones, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

The funeral ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the Wólka Funeral Home (Hall B), located at 14 Wóycickiego Street in Warsaw. Following the ceremony, the urn containing his ashes will be taken to his final resting place at the adjacent cemetery.

In accordance with the family's wishes, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to support young researchers through the START programme of the Foundation for Polish Science.
