The National Centre for Nuclear Research opens the competition for the position of

Professor of the Institute 
at The Plasma/Ion Beam Technology Division (FM2)

Localization: Świerk near Otwocka, Andrzeja Sołtana 7, (Suburb of Warsaw, efficient and free daily bus transport service provided).

Description of tasks:

  • Preparation and coordination of structural studies using ionic techniques such as RBS/c, PIXE/c, NRA and optical techniques such as PL
  • Scientific research and publishing
  • Participation in experiments, development, analysis and interpretation of experimental results

Requirements for the candidate:

  • The habilitation degree  and practical and theoretical knowledge of experimental ionic techniques (RBS/c, PIXE/c, NRA, TEM, XRD) confirmed by publications in the study of structural properties of materials
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the practical use of at least one of the above technician
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge confirmed by publications about phenomena related to the modification of crystals due to ion implantation and annealing
  • Documented experience in identifying structural defects in publications
  • Scientific achievements in the discipline of physic/materials sciences
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Experience in managing scientific projects
  • Teamwork skills
  • Readiness to participate in experimental work carried out in international institutions and on other business trips

Additional assets:

  • Knowledge of simulation programs used in structural research
