NCBJ becomes honorary patron of the 5th Future Energy Congress
Poland’s energy transition is entering a critical phase. The expansion of renewable energy capacity is no longer sufficient to meet the challenges facing the system, and the growing investment gap and grid connection barriers require immediate regulatory changes. At the 5th Future Energy Congress (KEP) in Toruń, politicians, leading experts and decision-makers from the energy sector will tackle the task of designing a new energy market architecture.

Ceremonial Scientific Council
On March 10, 2026, the National Centre for Nuclear Research held a ceremonial Scientific Council meeting, during which awards were presented for scientific and research achievements as well as organizational and technical accomplishments in 2025. During the ceremony, diplomas conferring the academic degrees of Doctor and Habilitated Doctor were also awarded.
U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration Visits NCBJ
On January 20, 2026, the National Centre for Nuclear Research was visited by a delegation from the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), led by the newly appointed Deputy Administrator of the Office of Nuclear Nonproliferation, Dr. Matthew C. Napoli.

NCBJ and Westinghouse have signed a cooperation agreement
The National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) and Westinghouse Electric Company have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at conducting joint research in the field of nuclear energy. The activities will include technological, scientific, research and implementation projects, training initiatives and support for the domestic industry in the nuclear technology value chain.
