News Date

NCBJ has neither been notified of any accident/accident hazard in the Tihange nuclear power plant operated in Belgium nor was observing any increase/anomaly in background radiation levels during the last week.

Situation in the plant has been reported to both national and international Nuclear Regulatory Agencies for a considerable period of time and none of the agencies has found any reason to order the plant to be shut down in an emergency mode or any similar measures to be taken.

Current readings of background radiation levels measured throughout Poland may be found on the National Atomic Agency Webpage.
