On May 27, 2025, students from the WAKANS Student Research Group for Materials Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology visited the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ). The students aimed to gain practical insight into the work of scientists and to explore NCBJ’s state-of-the-art research infrastructure used in advanced materials research.

The WAKANS Student Research Group has been active at the Faculty of Materials Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology since 2004. It brings together students interested in developing their skills in materials engineering. Members of the group carry out their own research projects, participate in experiments, promote science, and attend conferences and training sessions.

The visit to NCBJ was an opportunity for WAKANS students to meet our researchers, exchange experiences, and learn about modern technologies used in science and industry. We hope that, together, we contributed to the practical education of future materials engineers. Meetings like this play an important role in fostering collaboration between academia and research institutions.
