NCBJ and the Institute of Power Engineering – National Research Institute are exploring potential areas for joint research
13-02-2026
On February 10, we hosted representatives of the Institute of Power Engineering – National Research Institute at NCBJ. During the next in a series of workshop meetings, staff from both institutes shared their experiences and knowledge of competencies in order to define a joint research agenda for NCBJ and IEN-PIB. The meeting provided an opportunity to visit selected research infrastructures and laboratories of the Research Infrastructure Department (Katarzyna Nowakowska-Langier) and the NOMATEN Centre of Excellence (Łukasz Kurpaska).
The topics of the discussions, in which representatives of the CEREL Ceramics Division (Marek Grabowy, Magdalena Gromada, Agnieszka Kluczowska, Ryszard Kluczowski), the Thermal Division (Bartosz Świątkowski), the Thermal Processes Department (Agnieszka Pełka), and the High-Temperature Electrochemical Processes Department (Anna Niemczyk, Agnieszka Żurawska, Yevgeniy Naumovich) included surface engineering and plasma modification of ceramic materials, manufacturing and research methods dedicated to composite and thin-film materials, as well as conducting material research at high temperatures, typical for solid oxide electrochemical cells, which are developed and produced at the IEN-PIB Center for Hydrogen Technologies.
We would like to thank you for this meeting, which opens a new chapter in the relations between the National Centre for Nuclear Research and the Institute of Power Engineering – National Research Institute, and initiates the search for joint research projects!
