NCBJ remains highly ranked among... Polish universities

In June, the latest edition of the Global 2000 list, compiled by the Center for World University Rankings and featuring the world’s top universities, was published. In this year’s ranking, the National Centre for Nuclear Research remains among the top 4.2% of universities worldwide and occupies a high seventh place in Poland.

The CWUR ranking is based on several indicators designed to objectively assess the quality of education, the professional success of graduates, the quality of academic departments, and scientific research.

The latest edition ranks over 21,000 higher education institutions from around the world. For many years, the National Centre for Nuclear Research has also held a high position in the ranking. Although 60% of the assessment depends on the quality of education and the achievements of academic staff and graduates, our Institute, which offers only doctoral programmes, has firmly established itself among the leading universities.

This year’s CWUR Global 2000 List 2026 ranked the National Centre for Nuclear Research 889th out of 21,291 institutions (top 4.2%). We are also the 7th best university in Poland.

Once again, we owe this high result primarily to our researchers. It is thanks to your research that the NCBJ maintains a strong global position as a research institution. Congratulations to everyone whose efforts contributed to this success, and we wish you further scientific achievements!
