NCBJ at the Science Festival in Warsaw – Nuclear Science in Practice

12-09-2025

The National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) will once again take part in the Science Festival in Warsaw – the largest event in Poland dedicated to the popularization of science. Between [insert exact dates of this year’s edition], the institute’s researchers will invite participants to explore the world of nuclear physics and technologies, showcasing their applications in energy, medicine, and industry.

The NCBJ program will include:

  • demonstrations and physics experiments using radiation detectors and cloud chambers,
  • workshops and festival lessons conducted by the institute’s scientists,
  • thematic meetings on the role of nuclear energy in the energy transition and innovations for the economy,
  • guided tours of NCBJ facilities and opportunities to talk with researchers and experts.

– The Science Festival is a unique opportunity for us to show how we combine 70 years of experience in nuclear research with modern solutions supporting the development of energy and medicine. We want not only to share knowledge but also to foster a dialogue with society about the future of science and technology, – emphasizes NCBJ.

NCBJ has long been engaged in science communication, making its knowledge accessible to young people, students, and all science enthusiasts. By participating in the Science Festival, the institute demonstrates that nuclear physics is not only about laboratories but also about solutions that have a direct impact on our everyday lives.
