The National Centre for Nuclear Research, in collaboration with the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw, is launching a postgraduate studies "Nuclear Technologies", with the first classes taking place this coming weekend.
The programme has been designed to train highly qualified specialists, prepared to work in the rapidly developing nuclear energy sector.
The programme offers a unique combination of academic resources and the practical experience of a research institution operating in the field of nuclear technology. A key feature of the programme is its strong emphasis on practical classes – around 30% of the course consists of laboratory sessions and workshops. Some of the laboratory classes take place at the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Otwock-Świerk, home to Poland’s only research reactor, MARIA. Lectures are held at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw in Warsaw.
Graduates of the programme will learn about the applications of nuclear technology not only in the energy sector, but also in medicine, scientific research, industry and materials diagnostics.
The programme offered by the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) and the University of Warsaw provides a solid foundation for a career in the modern energy sector and in international research institutions.
