The first conference of the SHARP COST Action
W marcu w portugalskiej miejscowości Curia odbyła się pierwsza konferencja Akcji SHARP COST „Structure and Spectroscopy of Hadrons Research Project” (CA24159). Konferencja, zorganizowana przede wszystkim przez Narodowe Centrum Badań Jądrowych (NCBJ), zgromadziła 46 naukowców. W programie wydarzenia znalazły się spotkania grup roboczych, prezentacje najnowszych osiągnięć teoretycznych oraz metod analizy w fizyce hadronowej, a także działania networkingowe.

Ceremonial Scientific Council
On March 10, 2026, the National Centre for Nuclear Research held a ceremonial Scientific Council meeting, during which awards were presented for scientific and research achievements as well as organizational and technical accomplishments in 2025. During the ceremony, diplomas conferring the academic degrees of Doctor and Habilitated Doctor were also awarded.
U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration Visits NCBJ
On January 20, 2026, the National Centre for Nuclear Research was visited by a delegation from the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), led by the newly appointed Deputy Administrator of the Office of Nuclear Nonproliferation, Dr. Matthew C. Napoli.

NCBJ and Westinghouse have signed a cooperation agreement
The National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) and Westinghouse Electric Company have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at conducting joint research in the field of nuclear energy. The activities will include technological, scientific, research and implementation projects, training initiatives and support for the domestic industry in the nuclear technology value chain.
